“What a wonderful time everyone had at Maggie & Scott's reception last weekend!  Steve J. was entertaining, professional and kept everything running smoothly--even when I messed up and served dinner an hour early.  It was a pleasure to see everyone having a good time on the dance floor, including my 92-year-old mother who was dancing to some of her old favorites!  The music was varied enough to keep everyone happy and I received a lot of positive comments on the song choices.
 
I found out the hard way that hiring a professional DJ service is much more than hiring someone with a set of speakers, a microphone and a few CD's.  We had hired someone locally (even though we had been warned by several people not to do it!) for our older daughter's wedding and he wound up sending someone else to DJ.  Unfortunately, the someone else was not professionally dressed, did not follow our timeline (actually had to be prompted to make the announcements), and had to be told which song to play next (from the 12 compilation CD's) after each song had finished.  Needless to say, that left a lot of dead time on the dance floor and made for one very unhappy bridal couple--not to mention the parents who paid a lot of money for nothing!
